Integrated wind power, energy storage and green hydrogen systems, designed to mitigate the intermittency and variability of wind power generation, while cutting curtailment losses and improving the overall efficiency of the system.
The integrated wind, storage and hydrogen system coordinately combines wind power generation, short-term electrochemical energy storage and green hydrogen production, effectively addressing the main challenges of wind energy: high variability, grid instability and integration limitations.
Wind power is fed into the power grid on a priority basis. The battery system delivers millisecond-level response to smooth power fluctuations, while providing frequency regulation and voltage support services.
Surplus wind energy is used for water electrolysis to produce green hydrogen, turning excess electricity into stored chemical energy. Subsequently, this hydrogen can be used for power generation, industrial applications, urban supply or transportation fuel.
This system is applicable to onshore and offshore wind farms, distributed installations and large wind energy complexes. The overall system efficiency can reach 40%, 70% or even 90%, depending on the end utilization scheme (power generation via fuel cells, cogeneration or waste heat recovery).
The integration of wind power, energy storage and hydrogen greatly improves the economic viability and grid integration capacity of wind projects, establishing itself as a key technology for the large-scale expansion of renewable energy.
